Another Way of Representing Violence

I was extremely intrigued by Simon Norfolk’s work The Supercomputers: ‘I’m sorry Dave I’m afraid I can’t do that’ because it offered another completely different way photographically to look at ideas around power. He has a whole series of works exploring different aspects of technology and power through that. You can see his work here: http://www.simonnorfolk.com/

I just came across the blog hosted by The Photographers’ Gallery which is such an informative space. I remember spending a lot of time looking at some brilliant work they would host but the blog should suffice from a distance! Here’s a great article looking at the work of James Bridle exploring the infrastructure of violence. http://thephotographersgalleryblog.org.uk/2015/04/09/infrastructural-violence-the-smooth-spaces-of-terror/
